I began my career in education in 1991 when I volunteered in an Early Childhood Classroom in the local school district. In 1993, I started my undergraduate degree at Loras College, Dubuque. I majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I wanted to inspire students. I wanted to be a teacher so I could be a witness to their “ah,ha” moments. In 1997, I began my career as an elementary teacher in a local school district. After 12 years of teaching in Sixth grade, Kindergarten, First Grade, looping to Second grade, and then Fifth grade and experiencing many students’ “ah,ha” moments, I decided that I needed to find another way to inspire learning in my students. This led me to my current position. Every day I inspire teachers, to use technology in order to inspire their students. As an online professor for a local university, as a technology trainer and consultant through ISTE, Innovative Educator, and Education Technology Partners, and as an instructional design consultant through ISTE, Academy Lion, and IVECA. I present at national educational technology conferences, providing workshops to K-12 and HE schools, webinars through SimpleK12, and through social media platforms. I am here to inspire YOU!
