Make it Marian
Do you live and teach in Wisconsin? Looking for a Masters Degree that is applicable and will help you become a better teacher that works with 21st Century learners? Then take a look at Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI and all it has to offer. Classes are either hybrid or completely online. In a hybrid class you meet with your instructor face-to-face once or twice during the class with time in between to work online. Cohort groups are formed in various areas around the state and the instructors come to you. From start to finish you can earn your Masters Degree in Educational Technology in just 18 months. With only four textbooks to purchase, an Action Research paper about using technology in your classroom, and an electronic portfolio to wrap up the program there is no better or easier way to earn your masters degree.
Some of the favorite classes include the “Using iPods in the Classroom” where students receive a 32 gig iPod Touch (to keep) as part of the class. Instructors teach you how to find apps that are relevant to your classroom as well as how to use free software to create podcasts with and for your students. Another favorite is the “Teaching and Learning with Multimedia” a fun class that explores many different forms of media to use for presenting in the classroom.
It doesn’t matter if you are a classroom teacher, a specialist, teaching special education or a technology support specialist in your district. We hope that you take a look at our programs and consider making Marian your next step in becoming a 21st Century Educator.
